Origami Poetry Cafe would love to share with you the love for paper and storytelling by inviting you to our new Origami Storytelling sessions for the whole family. An origami interpretation of the children's book 'The Five Sisters' is a heart warming and inspirational way of storytelling using the paper folding art. The children will fold their own paper dolls and will follow on the adventure told by the storyteller. They will see the world through the eyes of a paper doll.
The concept is carefully designed to enhance skills of listening, short term memory improvement (story events with folding steps), fine motor skills (manual dexterity, eye and hand coordination), multisensory (visual, tactile), spatial relationships (concept of direction, symmetry and dimention), math (geometric shapes, angles, proportions), creative problem solving. Also learning a new skills and a hobby is a joy!
